Some of the lastest ODD news!

MUSCAT — A forum on protection of Omani craft industries concluded on the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry premises yesterday. It was organised by the Public Authority for Craft Industries (PACI) in conjunction with the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO). Craft industries experts and officials representing international organisations and local government and private establishments took part in the two-day event. The concluding session discussed a number of papers including one, titled ‘International experiments in the field of crafts protection’, by a WIPO official.

Interesting crafty stuff!

GIVE most people a blank sheet of canvas and they will see "a blank sheet of canvas".Bev Burmester of Alexandra Hills sees a panorama.Through her love of cross stitch, Bev has turned many blank sheets into vistas of colour, all in the name of "remaining occupied".Her passion has evolved in the last 10 years and was hastened by a bout of breast cancer which forced her to re-think her priorities and her stress levels."I have always been involved with arts and crafts and I used to sell my work at a shop at Coorparoo. When I had cancer, I decided to do things that pleased me with no pressure," she said.

OKy maybe not so interesting lol
