Why haven't I ... ?

Well been far to busy... The craft forum that I run has gone a bit crazy with about 2k of visitors a day which is amazing but very very time consuming ...

  Well I forgot Oh well...

I missed the last 2 days of blogging... I am crap I know... So whats new..

I got a new pottery site that submitted to the directory today..
I like the stuff a lot. The site is called Meadowcroft Pottery, I'll post a link if and only if this site subscribes to the directory...

I know that’s a bit harsh but the directory needs subscriptions to say a live...
As I have said may times before the point of the directory is to promote craft websites from pottery to painting to handbags made by bag ladies lol.... (not all are made by bag ladies trust me!)

Anyway the subscription money is put straight back into advertising the site making it grow... I hope one day to make a small profit from the site when pos... I guessing in about 2-3 yrs the site may be big enough to stop putting all the money into advertising it... fingers crossed...

The craft forum is now not far off the 500 mark... with some 420 articles so far... :-)

Both the forum and the directory's traffic ( that the number of people whom visit the site) have gone mad... This blog has had so many visitors (lets say 20 a week and I’m 7 of them lol)

MUSCAT — A forum on protection of Omani craft industries concluded on the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry premises yesterday. It was organised by the Public Authority for Craft Industries (PACI) in conjunction with the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO). Craft industries experts and officials representing international organisations and local government and private establishments took part in the two-day event. The concluding session discussed a number of papers including one, titled ‘International experiments in the field of crafts protection’, by a WIPO official.

What new... well at long last Dmoz have inlcued the diretory... how about that... Only took 1 year...

What else has been happening... The crafty keywords are working well... bringing in some 1000 visitors a day but, and its a big but.... i'm still not listed for my target term....."Crafts" not even the top 2000 on google... :-(

The gardening directory seem to be starting out in life.... its the same as the craft directory bar its FREE and I hope to build it up... I haven't push the gardening directory due to the lack of time so its completly natural directory... its amazing to see the difference between a site that you push and one you don't ....

  Whats new in the craft world today Well not much today...

Iv'e been waiting and hope to get included into dmoz directory www.dmoz.org in hopefully 2 sections...

and shopping :: craft :: directories...

fingers are cross but i may take years... been lucky in the past but this time its been over a year...

I use resource zone to check if site is still waiting and 1 year on its still in a hugh stack of non reveiwed sites...

what next hay....

the BBC have even recomend the site... it madness... tut tut tut..

The words Craft / crafts is still not being listed on the serps (search engine results pages) but hay...
